(August 7, 2018) The Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Prof. Dr. Joko Nurkamto M.Pd. came to SMA Pradita Dirgantara to handover the students of South East Asian-Teachers (SEA-Teachers) Program that supported by SEAMEO. The students are going to practice teaching for a month. They are: 1) Jodelle Leah B. Amelda (Jing-jing) from Saint Paul University Surigao (SPUS) Philippines, 2) Fatima A. Lumongsod (Fatima) from Saint Paul University Surigao (SPUS) Philippines, 3) Velasco Pearly Mae M. (Pearly) from Saint Louis University (SLU) Philippines, 4) Sheena Mari G. Bautista (Sheena) from Saint Louis University (SLU) Philippines, and 5) Viengvilai Punyakul (Vieng) from Udon Thani Rajabhat University (UDRU) Thailand. This annual program is held by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education-UNS collaboration with SEAMEO and this is the sixth batch.
The Principal of SMA Pradita Dirgantara, Prof. Dr. Siswandari M.Stats was so thankful of the opportunity to have all the SEA Teachers. “I hope you can learn many things and I hope that one month is not enough for you. If you say that one month is not enough, it means you are happy to be here. But when you say that one month is too long, it means you did not enjoy your time here.”
All the SEA-Teachers are supervised by lecturers from UNS and teachers mentor from SMA Pradita Dirgantara. The supervisor lecturers are Dwi Teguh Raharjo, M.Si and Hefy Sulistyawati, S.S., M.Pd. While, the teachers mentor are Desi Arinda, S.Pd., Vickie Amanda Wardani, S.Pd., and Fairusy Fitria Haryani, S.Pd., M.Sc. Our Vice Principal of Academic Affairs, Dr.Paed Nurma Yunita Indriyanti, M.Si, M.Sc., explained that SEA-teachers are going to teach English and Physics in 4 weeks and the activities will be observing, assisted teaching, independent teaching, and evaluation. After the speech, all SEA teachers and also SMA Pradita Dirgantara’s teachers introduced themselves and took some photos to keep this memorable moment.
The welcoming ceremony was closed and SEA-teachers, lecturers, and SMA Pradita Dirgantara’s teachers gathered based on the subject to discuss the plan and the upcoming activities for all the students.
