SMA PRADITA DIRGANTA (Boyolali) – The Academic Community of SMA Pradita Dirgantara participated in a Healthy Run to Commemorate National Sports Day on Wednesday morning 9 September 2020. The event took place very lively in the SMA Pradita Dirgantara sports field area.
This Healthy Run activity is carried out offline for academicians in the school environment and online using the Jomrun application for students in each home environment. This activity is intended to maintain a healthy body, improve physical fitness and enliven the 2020 Haornas commemoration for the entire school academic community.
The activity began with checking blood pressure and pulse by health workers at SMA Pradita Dirgantara. This check is carried out to ensure the physical readiness of the participants before doing a Healthy Run.
The event was opened with remarks by the Director of School Development Pradita Dirgantara, Mr. Dwi A. Yuliantoro, Ph.D, who also opened the Healthy Run event. “The Healthy Run event is not only held in the framework of National Sports Day, but also as an effort to keep the academics of SMA Pradita Dirgantara physically healthy. On this occasion, healthy run was divided into two groups, namely male and female groups. Each group ran as far as 1.6 km, which is equivalent to 4 rounds of the SMA Pradita Dirgantara field. Before Running, Healthy Run participants warm up, namely static and dynamic stretching, to help improve blood flow to the muscles, reduce tension or cramps, and to reduce the risk of injury. The girls ran first, while the boys ran next after the girls had finished. In this healthy run event, a dorprize draw was also held, which was warmly welcomed by all participants.
During the Healthy Run event, a bicycle grant from Letting 88 Patigama was also held to SMA Pradita Dirgantara. The submission was represented by Marsma TNI Sukur, M.Sc., as a representative of Letting 88 Patigama and was received by Mr. Dwi A. Yuliantoro, Ph.D., as Director of Pradita Dirgantara School Development. For school representatives, the bicycle was accepted by the Principal of SMA Pradita Dirgantara, Dr. Yulianto Hadi. Bicycles were also given to each representative from the Boys Dorm, Girls Dorm, Kitchen, and Drivers.
The commemoration of National Sports Day is a momentum to recall a historical event in the field of sports, namely the National Sports Week (PON) which provides inspiration or motivation for all Indonesian people. PON is a prestigious national level sports competition which was first held at Sriwedari Stadium, Surakarta, Central Java on 9-12 September 1948. Furthermore, the opening date for the National Sports Week (PON), namely 9 September, was designated as National Sports Day through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 67 1985 year.
During the Covid 19 pandemic, the fulfillment of physical movement through exercise is important, where current mobility tends to decline. Exercise aims to maintain health, improve physical fitness and maintain body immunity. Exercise can also relieve boredom or stress with a variety of physical activities that are healthy and fun.
“This activity is intended to maintain a healthy body, improve physical fitness and enliven the 2020 Haornas commemoration for the entire school academic community.
